It’s no coincidence such a globally successful brand as Pipedrive came calling: not only does such a move confirm that email marketing is a crucial part of a winning sales process, it also demonstrates that Pipedrive saw a great opportunity to acquire a mature marketing technology and team with deep, specific know-how and expertise.
I can summarize it quite simply: two very different companies – in size – but not in mindset and culture – have joined to create a synergy that will bring sales and marketing teams closer together, increase cross-team visibility and transparency, and help drive sales and business success.
As you may know, Mailigen is a SaaS company established in Latvia in 2010. This acquisition suggests that the local tech scene is reaching a mature state and the interest of global companies towards the Latvian technology market is on the rise.
In the coming months, we will start to grow our team in Riga and continue on our path to building even better marketing tools for our existing and future customers.
I want to reassure Mailigen’s loyal customers that this exciting news both ensures the usual high standards will be maintained and heralds a brighter future. For our customers, it is business as usual – only with new resources and more power! More resources at our fingertips and a truly global reach will translate into a continually improving intuitive user experience and more stable, innovative product.
Over the next few months, we will focus on integrating both platforms and organizations – with one goal in mind – ensuring our customers’ success. We are excited as we will soon come to the market with a new, high-value offering for customers. The acquisition creates more value for both Pipedrive and Mailigen customers.
By joining forces with Pipedrive, we are combining two strong purpose-built products, providing our customers more focused and robust sales and marketing solutions. In addition, both companies have world-class technical teams and are a great cultural fit.
I will continue to head up the email marketing operations in Latvia, with the company being rebranded as “Mailigen by Pipedrive”. All Mailigen’s employees will become part of Pipedrive’s global team of more than 630 people from more than 50 nationalities.
I am sincerely grateful to all of Mailigen’s customers – for your feedback, suggestions, praise – and yes, at times complaints – without which the company wouldn’t be where it is today.
