Mailigen Platform Updates: Exclude Campaign Recipients, Visual Code Editor, New Automation IFs and More

Summertime here at Mailigen HQ – you’d think we’d chill but, as our customers around the world won’t stop emailing, we can’t stop either. June-July has been uber productive, and we want to bring you up to speed with the most recent feature releases and improvements. Here are some news from our feature-heavy summer:

Exclude recipients from email campaigns

You can now exclude or suppress any recipient list from your campaigns with a single click. This has been one of the most requested updates from clients managing multiple lists or segmenting their database actively.

To try this, create a new email campaign and go to the 2nd step where you choose the recipients, click EXCLUDE button next to the list or a segment of recipients you don’t want to receive this campaign. Voilà, that’s it!

Here is a help article if you want to find out more

Visual HTML code editor

We built the code editor for HTML savvy email marketers or experienced template developers; the code editor gives the flexibility to control every single pixel of your email.

You can build an email from scratch or paste your email template HTML code on one side of the screen and instantly see the result on the other side while you’re editing it. What is most important, that the code you write does not get altered in any way by our system at the time of sending.

Additional IF field value conditions for the Automation + stability, bugfixes

One of our flagship features, the automation workflow builder just got a very valuable upgrade with an option to select field value matching criteria inside the IF condition.

Example of additional if field
Now you can create more customization using one of these IF field value criteria: is, is not, contains, does not contain, starts with, ends with a particular word or symbol. Also, we’ve updated the event tracking system when a subscriber is removed from a segment that he was previously part of, he will also be removed from the automation flow.

Automation reports full delivered email list

This is a very useful update, to remove any guesswork from the automation reports of who received what.

Example of delivery reprort
On top of the regular open, click, bounce and unsubscribe reports we’ve introduced an Email Delivery tab, that shows a list of all emails that have been sent, delivered and bounced in one view. So you can see who exactly has received the automated message within a certain workflow.

See who received your automation series in the reports here.

Copy client lists with or without subscribers

This is a small, but a very useful improvement that allows you to choose to duplicate a subscriber list with or without subscribers. Different users have different needs, so we try to give you the choice.

Example of copy list
With this update when you copy a list of subscribers the list settings, merge tags or custom fields are replicated, so you don’t have to go through the same steps to recreate the original exclude setup.

Coming up…

These are a few of the more noticeable changes to the platform, but our team is publishing product updates each week.

We are currently working on an important update to the Drag and Drop email editor text block editing – pasting text from another document keeping the formatting for links, bullets, and text. I know this has been a frustration for some of you!

Thanks for all the support and positive comments we’ve received from few of you that have noticed these changes in the past month already.

Feel free to share your feedback in the comments or contact us directly, as only with your input we can make Mailigen even better.

Now, go and enjoy the beautiful summer!

I can’t wait to see the new updates since I am now comparing platform online to get the best among the best. I am looking for more features and simplicity and I can consider this one worth to try along with Activetrail and Mailchimp.
