Even the greatest people need sidekicks… don’t they? We know how different your marketing teams are and that you want different permission levels for your team members. So we launched a multi-user account to allow your entire marketing team to collaborate!
This our biggest feature release in 2015! And if there is more than one person involved in your company’s email campaigns, this is something for you!
Imagine that your web designer or copywriter wants to make some corrections before you send your newsletter. Or, there are several people in your marketing agency working on client email campaigns. Or, maybe, your client wants to see their latest campaign’s reports in real time. You’d like to share your login details, but you don’t want them to access other campaigns, settings, bills, etc., or you simply don’t want them to mess something up in your account.
Sound familiar? Read on to find solutions!
What is a multi-user account? One account for all your team!
In brief, a multiple user account is a great way for your email marketing team to collaborate effectively!
A multiple account enables multiple users to login to the same account to do their job according to their permission level. This means you can maintain a single account for your entire marketing team:
- The account owner can add users and limit what permissions each of them has;
- The other team members have their own unique logins which activate their own level of permissions.
Everybody will see what they need to and will be able to do what they have to. I especially like the idea about no misunderstanding!
What is it for? Agencies and all-size marketing teams
So, who needs an email marketing account with multiple logins? I’d say everybody who works in a team:
- Marketing agencies where several team members work with customer email marketing accounts;
- Small companies where outsourced advisors help the main marketer;
- Large companies where several people work on the company’s email marketing activities;
- Non-profit organizations with a high staff turnover.
Battling all alone? Well, even a lone soldier sometimes needs outside help…
Grant 5 different permission levels to your collaborators
Are you the boss of your company’s email marketing account? Then it is you who can sign others up and determine the levels of permission.
The main account holder has the highest level access to everything in a Mailigen account. S/he has full access to billing information, account settings, as well shutting down the account. The owner is able to add new users and grant 5 permission levels to collaborators.
#1 Account Manager
The account manager has most of the fundamental functions of a Mailigen account. S/he can manage email lists, create and edit templates, send campaigns and view reports, as well add and remove other users. The only restriction is shutting down the account. Grant this to someone who will be in charge of creating and sending campaigns.
#2 List Manager
The list manager is someone who is in charge of the database. S/he can add and edit email lists, upload and edit contacts, create segments and unsubscribe contacts. The list manager cannot export the database.
A collaborator can create and edit campaigns but cannot send them. S/he can also create autoresponders, sign-up forms and SMS campaigns. Grant this permission to designers, copywriters, outsourced specialists or any other person or agency that helps you with creating campaigns.
A watcher can only see email campaign statistics and export report files. Give this access to someone who needs to see campaign statistics but doesn’t need to create campaigns or manage lists.
#5 Custom permission
Custom permission allows specific actions based on the user’s capabilities and needs. We couldn’t of course create endless permission levels, but we know how different your needs are. So this is the right solution for those who want completely different permission levels.
Benefit from a multi-user account in several ways
What’s the best thing about a multiple email marketing account? Here’s the list of awesome benefits:
Users who need only to create and edit campaigns will not be able to access account settings and billing information, thereby avoiding any damage.
You can create any size and any structure team for your email marketing activities. Marketers, web designers, copywriters, outsourced advisers, agency staff, company bosses, customers – join all of them in one account with different permission levels.
As the Account Manager, you can track what other users do in your account, what the progress is and check if the stuff is done.
In the case of staff turnover, just close the previous user account and add a new user. You don’t have to transmit login details to each other and risk any damage.
Users may request additional permissions with just one click, and the Account Manager will approve or reject it. The Account Manager can upgrade or downgrade permission levels of account users at any time.
